About

Katie Cheer is a graphic designer with over 10 years of experience, including in-house (Massey University Students’ Association, Manatū Taonga Ministry for Culture and Heritage) and studio (Jemma Cheer Design Company). She creates visual identities, accessible websites, publications, exhibitions and merch.

With an honours degree in fine arts from Elam, Katie brings advanced critical thinking and conceptual skills to her research and design practice. As a designer in the public service, she’s committed to the values of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and expressing this through her work. She stays creative in her personal life by writing music and playing drums in local band, Fouler.

Right now, Katie spends her days designing for Manatū Taonga Ministry for Culture and Heritage.
